OhanaJo is an award winning wellness space where like-minded souls can experience mind-body healing whether it is through a daily meditation, yoga or sound healing session or transformational workshop. It is a heart-based space where you can slow down with mindfulness, release your daily stresses or come into a state of deep relaxation and inner calm. In a fast paced era of modern day distractions, OhanaJo represents a sanctuary for the senses to help bring us back home to ourselves. You can dive into the inner work of self love, practicing with more gratitude and compassion in your life or letting go what no longer serves you to improve your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. It’s a wonderful place to connect with your inner self on your own journey of mind-body healing and transformation.
Ohana Means Family
If you met our warm, bubbly and down to earth founder, in person, you would truly understand why Jojo decided to call her studio OhanaJo. ‘Ohana’ in Hawaiian means family so we don’t have to be related by blood in order to be connected. We are all connected, in more ways than one. Jojo has always wanted to make people feel at home so OhanaJo was birthed out of this heartfelt wish for people from all walks of life to feel that same sense of belonging upon entering the studio.
Meet Our Founder
Jojo Struys is a renown Wellness Personality, TEDx Speaker, Accredited Sound Healer & Regional TV Host. She has been practising breath work for more than 25 years and was certified in Yoga in Rishikesh, India. She is also a Reiki Master, Mindfulness Coach and Corporate Trainer. She does regular Mental Health Talks and Corporate Training sessions across with MNC companies, educating employees on breathing techniques and mindfulness tools to combat stress and anxiety as well as increasing levels of positivity and mental resilience in organisations.
She emphasises the importance of being present in the ‘NOW’ and this is why she resonates so deeply with the power of meditation and sound therapy as it can effortlessly transport us into the present moment where the body starts to naturally heal, in a more quiet, inner space of calm. In Jojo’s own words, “Sometimes, you have to slow down in order to speed up. When we slow down, we become more present and self-aware. We are also able to connect with our hearts, and access every area of our life with more clarity, harmony and balance”.
