What is the meaning of OhanaJo?

OhanaJo comes from the Hawaiian word ‘ohana’ which means family so we are all connected. We are thrilled and grateful you found us because at whatever point you’re at in your life’s journey, just know that everyone is welcome here. OhanaJo aims to provide a safe space for a conscious community to come together, grow and be supported by each other, because that’s what families do!

Our founder, Jojo, or ‘Jo’ to her close friends and family, has always made it a point to make people feel at home, included and welcome, so OhanaJo is an extension of her own family values and she would want you to feel that same sense of belonging when you visit OhanaJo. We believe that connecting with one another on this journey is the key to a deeper connection with ourselves.

There's a saying that goes, "home is where the heart is". We would like to welcome you home to inner peace within your own body, mind and soul. We truly hope you can find something at OhanaJo, whether it's a part of your past you're needing to let go of, or a part of something 'new' you are trying to bring in, to manifest your dreams and future goals.

OhanaJo is currently one of the largest yoga & sound healing studios in Malaysia. This is your safe space to find serenity,      inner peace and a sense of quiet from the outside world. With each and every session we do, whether it's online or in our  studios, we hope to heal and strengthen the body, mind and soul so that you can experience a positive transformation in your own life.

Our Teaching Styles

Classes at OhanaJo revolve around the wellbeing of the body, mind and spirit. Most of our yoga classes combine meditative breathwork and the therapeutic benefits of sound healing in 'savasana' at the end of our sessions. Whether you are sweating out toxins on the mat or doing a relaxing Vinyasa flow with breathwork, expect to surrender into deep relaxation at the end of our signature session from a beautiful array of sacred sound instruments including the Crystal and Himalayan bowls, gongs, chimes and other instruments.

We want you to leave OhanaJo's doors feeling refreshed, relaxed and rejuvenated. Our family of teachers will guide you through your practice and offer modifications and variations for all levels of experience, so everyone is welcome.
